When lifting and stacking materials, the operator should position the forks evenly under the load, ensuring it is centered and stable. Lifting should be performed smoothly, and the load should be kept low to the ground while in motion to maintain the forklift’s stability. Proper alignment with the stack is essential when placing loads, and the operator should only raise the load when the forklift is stationary. After completing tasks, the forklift should be parked on a level surface, with the forks lowered to the ground, the parking brake engaged, and the machine turned off to prevent unauthorized use.
